Detroit Car Accident Injures Several Bus Passengers

Our Detroit car accident lawyers are reporting a story in the news about a Detroit bus accident that took place near the intersection of Gratiot and State Fair Street on Tuesday, October 18th, in the p.m. hours.  According to police, the bus, which held about 15 people, crashed into a pole. Two other vehicles were damaged in the accident. Around 12 bus passengers suffer injuries due to the Detroit accident and both drivers of each vehicle also suffer serious injuries. In one of the vehicles were two passengers, who suffer serious injuries as well.

City of Detroit Wrongful Death Settlement – Bus Accident

A Detroit wrongful death settlement for $1.75 Million Dollars recently closed against the City of Detroit Department of Transportation and the bus driver involved in the accident. The bus accident occurred when an SUV holding many passengers lost a tire on Interstate 94. Several of the passengers exited the vehicle and were standing on the shoulder, when a bus, owned and operated by the City of Detroit, struck the vehicle as well as the passengers, killing one of them. The passenger killed was a husband and father to three children.

With the help of a witness, who was the investigating police officer and extended negotiations, the City of Detroit was found at fault even with The City of Detroit arguments that the bus accident was in fact not the bus drivers fault but the fault of the passengers and the driver of the incapacitated SUV.

Deaf Woman Killed in Detroit Bus Accident

There was a tragic story in the paper today about  deaf woman killed in a Detroit bus accident this morning, March 2nd, on Detroit’s west side. According to witnesses, a deaf Detroit woman, known locally as Ms. Jazz, was crossing Livernois, near Courtland, when she was hit by a City of Detroit bus being test-driven for safety. The deaf woman did not survive the accident. Police are investigating the accident at this time.

Detroit Schoolbus Accident Injured Four Children

There was a story in the newspaper today about how a Detroit schoolbus accident injured four children this morning on the west side. According to the Detroit Police, a school bus was allegedly turning left onto Dickerson from Jefferson when it was allegedly struck by a car heading westbound on Jefferson. According to the Detroit Police, a Detroit Public Schools bus allegedly rear-ended another school bus near the intersection of Plymouth Road and Outer Drive. Police state that the driver was paying attention to six students that were standing on the bus and took his eyes off the road and hit the bus in front of him.
