The deaf woman did not survive the accident. Police are investigating the accident at this time.

Fatal Detroit Pedestrian Hit and Run Accident

There was a tragic story in the paper today about a man in a fatal Detroit hit and run accident on December 29th on Detroit’s west side. According to the Detroit Police, a blue Ford Explorer allegedly hit a Nissan Maxima, driven by an 18-year-old woman, near the intersection of Schaeffer and Schoolcraft, that caused the Maxima to hit a 56-year-old man standing nearby.

The 18-year-old woman and 56-year old man were rushed to Sinai-Grace Hospital for treatment of their serious injuries. However, the 56-year old man did not make it to the hospital in time and was pronounced dead on arrival. Police are still investigating this accident and are searching for an Explorer with the Michigan license plate of CBP-9943. Detroit Pedestrian Hit and Run Accident

There was a story in the paper today about a woman seriously injured in a Detroit pedestrian hit and run accident that occurred on Thursday, November 12 on Detroit’s west side. According to the Detroit police, a 20-year-old-woman exited a bus to cross West Parkway, near Joy Road, and was allegedly struck by a car that ran the red light at the intersection.

Witnesses stated that the driver, in a burgundy Taurus, stopped, went around the injured woman, stopped and looked then left the scene. No witnesses were able to get the license plate number of the car. Detroit Police are still investigating this accident and ask anybody who sees an older model burgundy Taurus, with damage to the passenger side, to call them.

I read a story in the Detroit News today that involved a pedestrian in a fatal Detroit car crash on Sunday, October 18th on the east side. According to the Detroit Police, a 1998 Ford Escort driven by a 28-year-old Westland man was traveling on Gratiot near Joseph Campau when he allegedly veered and struck a female pedestrian and a utility pole.
