Detroit Hit And Run Bike-Car Accident
Our Detroit car accident lawyers are reporting a hit and run accident that took place on a freeway ramp in Detroit. The bike accident took place yesterday afternoon on the ramp from east Davison to north I-75. According to a witness, a vehicle struck and killed the bicyclist, Charles Poole. The vehicle that hit him did not stop.
I am very sorry to hear about this tragic accident. My condolences go out to the family of the deceased and I hope that driver of the vehicle is found.
Our Detroit auto accident attorneys advise bikers of their legal rights. Family members of the deceased victims may be able to make a claim for Survivor Loss Benefits for the deceased victims. This can include payment of funeral expenses, lost wages, and loss of other services.
Also, the family members of the deceased victims may have a claim for a Michigan wrongful death lawsuit against the driver if found and if police determine was negligent and caused the bike-car accident. At the very least, the surviving family should hire the best possible lawyer to look into these possibilities.
