There is a fee for obtaining the report. Checks should be made payable to “City of Detroit.” We regularly obtain these for our Detroit car accident clients and pay all associated fees.
If your accident was investigated by the Michigan State Police, the report must be ordered directly from that agency. You can download the Michigan State Police Form here and submit it directly to that agency to obtain your report.
