A Detroit wrongful death settlement for $1.75 Million Dollars recently closed against the City of Detroit Department of Transportation and the bus driver involved in the accident. The bus accident occurred when an SUV holding many passengers lost a tire on Interstate 94. Several of the passengers exited the vehicle and were standing on the shoulder, when a bus, owned and operated by the City of Detroit, struck the vehicle as well as the passengers, killing one of them. I read a tragic story about a pedestrian killed by a SMART bus in Detroit today. I came across a tragic story in the news today about a pedestrian killed on M-59 in Auburn Hills on Friday. According to Auburn Hills Police, a driver of a 2003 Buick Century allegedly hit a pedestrian on M-59, between I-75 and Squirrel Road, causing him to fall into the road, where he was subsequently hit by several other vehicles. Police are still investigating the accident at this time.
